The Community Give Box is more than a shop, it’s a hub for the whole community. Selling a huge range of new and preloved clothes, gifts, toys, and household items, the shop is a drop-off point for donations of all kinds, and it strives to keep goods from going into landfill.

As arguably the best-connected referral partner within the district, the Community Give Box gives away more than it sells – to people in need across the city, the Five Towns, and SESKU.

The retail arm of the Community Foundation Wakefield District, all monies raised through the Give Box benefit local people. We support them if they’re escaping a domestic abuse situation, for example, if their budget can’t stretch to cover all the school uniform items needed – we provide help in so many situations.
