Prepare to step into a world of heroes, villains and everyone in between as Star Walk returns Saturday April 26 and Sunday April 27.
A magical, super-charged full weekend of meet and greets with your favourite cosplay, mascot and fan-made characters, cars and movie prop photo opps – and it’s all free with donations gratefully received for Forget Me Not children’s hospice.
Rub shoulders with icons from a galaxy far, far away, superheroes, villains, princesses and robots thanks to cosplay and costume groups including UK Garrison, Stark Industry Entertainment, Magical Moments, Mos Eisley Misfits, Up In Smoke, CPM Entertainers, Mascot Mayhem, Red Cape, Phoenix Squad, One Dark Knight in Yorkshire, Yorkshire Spiderman, Lee B, Yorkshire Ghostbusters and more. With vehicles from American Dream Trucks, Coopers Classic Cars, Red Cape, Egglestone Limousines, CPM, Dino Mike, Yorkshire Knights and Cop Cars UK.
Look out for Deadpool, Stitch, Barbie, Elphaba, Glinda, Supergirl, Spidey, Bumblebee and loads more across one or both days.
Free face painting is back 10am to 4pm both days thanks to our talented Donna’s Face Painting.
It’s a free event, but donations by cash in buckets or contactless card greatly received for our charity partner Forget Me Not children’s hospice who support families across Wakefield and West Yorkshire.
And there’s more…
Both days will see an amazing Optimus Prime truck roll up alongside a Bumblebee Camaro, Lightning McQueen, 3 American police cruisers, American taxi and Jurassic Park jeep.
There will also be a mix of other movie vehicles. Saturday will see Mystery Machine, Turtles van, Pizza Planet along with A-Team van and Trotters three-wheeler.
Sunday presents Barbie Fiat 500 convertible, Stranger Things truck, Hot Fuzz cop car.
Anyone called Michael will be pleased to know the Yorkshire Knights will be here BOTH days with their collection of replica Knight Riders, American Trans Ams and other USA cars on display. Stunning.
The free event runs 10am to 4pm both days. Cars and face painting run 10am to 4pm. Characters will be out from around 11am to just before 4pm, with breaks. Characters wander so will be all over the centre and times will vary, so just for guidance.
Please note that all characters are cosplay and/or mascots and props and cars are fan-made replicas. This event relies on many volunteers, so all characters, images and posters are for guidance only and all characters, props and cars are subject to change without notice. So don’t be disappointed if Deadpool gets a cold or Spidey has the flu. Although we do sell Lemsip, so…
The weather won’t stop us as we have a large roof – so even if it’s a bit wet, we’ll be on.

We have 1,000 paid for parking spaces on site and you can get your first 2 hours free if you spend £10+ in Sainsbury’s and validate your ticket in a pay station before leaving.
Coming by bus? Easy – we are 90 paces from Wakey bus station.
If you’re on the train, you can come to either Wakefield Westgate or Wakefield Kirkgate and both are less than a 100 minute walk to us.
We have space to lock up to 100 cycles on site and cycle and motorcycle parking is free.
Coming by helicopter or plane? Fancy pants, eh?! Land at Leeds/Bradford and get a stretch limo from there (we highly recommend Egglestone Limousines).
Visiting from outer space? Please kindly crash land your ship on the grass around the back of Burger King and use your new-found alien powers to do only good on planet Earth. Plus, the crash site is near Greggs. Ideal.
Yes, please do both here.
We have a Greggs, Starbucks, Bob & Berts, Little Lotus, Caffe Noor, Casa Peri Peri, Burger King, Costa, Sainsbury’s, Asda Living, Muffin Break and Cooplands.
There’s also some great places across Wakey city centre to enjoy too.

Star Walk is awesome and everyone is welcome. Apart from criminals and anti-social behaviour which as you all now, we have a zero tolerance approach on.
Everyone else, come on down! If you have visitors with additional needs and want to find out more or need a little extra help, just get in touch through our contact us page on the website and we’ll do our best to help.
Star Walk does get busy, but the quietest times are from 10am and just before 4pm. Trinity Walk is a spacious open air centre, with two main malls covered by a high roof. So there’s always a place to find space.
It’s flat and accessible for almost everyone, so pushchairs, mobility scooters and wheelchairs are no problem. We have two large accessible/family toilets, a Changing Places toilet and two main toilets blocks. Baby changing is available in our accessible toilets and in all our coffee shops too.
