Lush Wakefield is hosting a Sensory Read Along event for little ones during Easter half term (30th March – 10th April), running Monday to Friday at 11am. At £10 per person, each session features a read-along of a different children’s book paired with a hands-on bath bomb making activity to take home – booking is required.
Week 1’s book is Dinosaur Rocket by Penny Dale. With lively rhymes and vibrant illustrations, this action-packed story follows a group of dinosaurs as they zoom into space on a roaring rocket ride. Expect plenty of stomping, counting, and imaginative fun as we journey through this prehistoric space adventure together! During the session, little ones will also get hands-on and create their very own rocket science bath bomb to take home, perfect for extending the fun after our storytime adventure!
Week 2’s book is When We’re Together by Jane Chapman. This heartwarming story celebrates friendship, kindness, and the joy of spending time with those we love, brought to life with gentle storytelling and beautiful illustrations. It’s the perfect cosy read to enjoy together. During the session, little ones will also get hands-on and create their very own Munching Bunny bath bomb to take home—adding a fun, creative twist to our storytime experience!
Due to the popularity of these events, payment must be made when reserving space to ensure maximum turn out. We may be able to facilitate arrivals on the day if space, however this is not guaranteed.
