Dino Walk: Half term with bite

Our famous Walkersaurus-rex and babies are being let out to play this half term.

Come and meet our giant walking dinosaur and two little ones for free, closely supervised by our Trinity Animal Control Team (TACT) handlers on Friday May 30 and Saturday May 31 from 11am-3pm with breaks.

Young archaeologists can dig into the past in our Dino Walk Discovery Dig site and hunt for some giant dino bones from Saturday May 24 daily 11am-4pm (for guidance only).

Enjoy some free face painting on Friday May 30 and Saturday May 31 from 11am-3pm each event day, too.

So don’t forget to clear space on your phones to snap a few pics. Say cheese…

Look out for the dinosaurs near Costa and the Dino Walk Discovery Dig site, but they may pop up elsewhere in the centre too.

There’s a week-load of dino fun across the city centre too for Jurassic Wakey, so go explore when you’ve visited here. Films at our neighbours WX and mini golf are just some of the events on offer, see https://www.wakefieldbid.co.uk/whats-on/

And everybody can walk the dinosaur for a good cause too. Our friends around the corner at Second Chance Headway are running a sponsored Dinosaur Walk at Pugney’s Country Park on Sunday June 1 from noon until 3pm.

Everyone welcome to come and walk with their dinosaurs, rangers and families for 1 to 4 laps around the lake.
